KTX SPORTS founder Alex Ortiz (born May 18, 1990) is a former U.S Olympic Training Athlete and an Olympic and Action Sports enthusiest. He was raised in Kress, Texas, and current;y resides in Orange County, CA.
With the population of only 711, Ortiz grew up in a humble house hold, but with a strong ambition of pursuing sports. Ortiz was an award winning Cross Country and Track/Field athlete, and had hopes of one day making Team USA for the summer Olympics. In 2006, after Ortiz watched American speed skater Apolo Ohno win an Olympic Gold medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics on T.V, he decided to pursue an athletic career in Speed Skating. At age 16, Ortiz left his hometown and attended his first training camp at the Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City, UT. Upon returning home from summer training for High School, Ortiz doubled on his acedemics and was able to graduate early. In 2008, Ortiz moved to Milwaukee, WI where he trained full time at the U.S Olympic Training Center. His first year competing as a U.S Speedskating athlete, Ortiz qulaified to compete in the U.S Junior National Championships. His skating career was on the rise, until 2010 when Ortiz decided to retire from athletics and pursue a career in the Sports and Entertainment Industry.
Since 2008, Ortiz has held positions with the MLB (Milwaukee Brewers), NBA (Milwaukee Bucks), Oakley, and the Olympics (Rio 2016). Ortiz has been in the company of some of the Worlds best athletes, and is progressivly making his name known in the Sports Industry. His vision for KTX SPORTS is to share the passion and influence of sport through stories, pictures, and events
